Powder Coating
How is it done?
A process called electrostatic spray deposition (ESD) is used to achieve the application of the powder coating to a metal base. This application method uses a spray gun, which applies an electrostatic charge to the powder particles. The metal parts to be coated are positively grounded so the charged particles stick to them.
After application of the powder coating, the parts enter a curing oven where the coating chemically reacts with the heat and produces long, molecular, chains, resulting in high, cross-link, density. These molecular chains are very resistant to breakdown.
All of our products are powder-coated, which makes them last a lifetime.
Our Process
Buffing
This clears any dirt or oils on the metal and prepares it to be washed.
Washing
We use a chemical wash to ensure a clean surface to apply color to.
Curing
Our products are baked in a large oven to secure the powder color to the metal surface.
Powder Coating
This is where the color comes in. We have several options: red, yellow, green, blue, and grey.
Drying
We let our products air out after baking to ensure that all color is dried.
Testing
We measure the depth of the powder coat to ensure the color quality on your products.

Powder coating is applied to our products through a strategic process of preparing and cleaning the surface. We use a special wash that allows the chemicals in the powder coating to adhere to the product. Once the color is baked onto the surface, it is completely stuck and will not be at risk for chips or damage.
